Tuesday 10th Jun 2008The MoonthievesWe now have new copies of The Moonthieves. The colours are brighter and closer to Esther's lovely quirky originals than in the previous version, and there is a new , clearer font. The price is 4.99.
The musical of The Moonthieves will be premiered at the Farnham Festival 2009. Watch this space for more news!
Tuesday 10th Jun 2008new book!
We will be launching the new picture book, The Furzey Oak, at Furzey Gardens in the New Forest on Saturday 14th June. Illustrations are by Mervyn Hathaway. They're gorgeous! Here's a sample.
An exhibition of Mervyn's original artwork for the book will be in the gallery/coffee shop for the launch. He has also put all the pictures on his website: www.mhathaway.co.uk . Do have alook! The gardens are lovely, and have some intriguing features for children - tree houses, tunnels and fairy doors.

Wednesday 20th Jun 2007New booksSome new books I have enjoyed very much are Otto in the Time of the Warrior (the third in the trilogy) by Charlotte Haptie. A terrific read, great fun, and (I think) suitable for children of around 11 and up; Hagbane's Doom by John Houghton - another great fantasy adventure. 'You crash your bike, you visit a cemetery, and before you know it you're in another world!'

Wednesday 20th Jun 2007MusicalsTattybogle the musical is being performed all over the UK! I've just been looking at photos of a school production on Orkney and I was lucky enough to see the Farnham Festival performances - terrific!
Babushka the musical is just going to press and will be in Starshine's catalogue in September. I have listened to the songs and music, written by Ruth Kenward (who wrote Tattybogle the musical) and they are marvellous!
