| The Hob and Miss Minkin (1999) |
 |
| Illustrated by Amanda Harvey |
Four stories about the night-time adventures of a tabby cat and a magical Hob, who are awake and busy when the household is abed. One night they fall asleep, and the naughty mice come in, nibble the bacon and tangle up the farmer's wife's knitting. She is so cross that she stops leaving a dish of cream out, and Hob and Miss Minkin have to resort to desperate measures to get it back. In the second story, they rescue a new-born foal whose weary mother has gone to sleep before she has sung him his naming song. In 'Hallowe'en' they frighten themselves telling ghost stories so much that they put a spell on the house to keep intruders out - including the farmer and his family! At Christmas, they decide to go carol-singing, and they get the most unusual presents anybody ever had - but they are very happy!

| The Stormteller (2000) |
 |
| Illustrated by Amanda Harvey |
Zeke loved the sea. He loved listening to the music of the waves, and looking for driftwood, shells and pebbles on the beach. As soon as he was old enough, he signed on as a cabin boy on the schooner, Spindrift, and sailed the world. One day, he found a very special piece of driftwood, a stormteller, on a tropical beach, and it was his dear companion until he lost it. Years and years and strange adventures later, Zeke and the stormteller are reunited.
